Questions
Plain answers before you decide.
What managers ask about applications, market day, fees and vendors. Where Blue Peach does not do something, the answer says so.
Getting started
How do we start?
Create an account, then set up your market: its name, where it is held and its application fee, then its market days and the rules vendors agree to. Blue Peach starts you with a standard application form to change as you like, and you open applications when you are ready.
Can we bring our existing vendor list?
Add each vendor you already know from the Vendors table, one at a time, with no application and no fee. Nothing is sent to them when you do; when they sign up with that email address, your market is there for them. There is no spreadsheet import.
Does it work for night markets and craft fairs?
Yes. Anything with vendors, stalls and dates: a weekly market all season, a monthly night market, or a fair on a few chosen days.
Do we need to install anything?
No. Blue Peach runs in the web browser on any phone, tablet or computer, for you and for your vendors. There is no app to download.
Can we run more than one market?
Yes. One account can hold several markets, each with its own schedule, fees, application form and vendors, and you switch between them.
Applications
How do vendors apply?
On your market’s own page, from one link you share. They fill in your form, upload their insurance and permits, agree to your rules and policies, and pay your application fee by card if you charge one.
Do vendors need an account?
Yes, and they make one as they apply, with their email address and no password. A vendor uses the same account for every market they sell at, with one schedule across all of them.
How do we decide on an application?
Approve, waitlist or decline. Each shows you what the vendor will be told before you confirm, and the vendor is emailed your decision. You can change your mind on a waitlist or a decline. Approving books the vendor’s market days for the season.
Can we close applications?
Yes. You open and close applications yourself. If you set an apply-by date, vendors see it, and an application that arrives after it is accepted and marked late, so the decision stays yours.
Can we refund an application fee?
Yes. An admin refunds it from the application itself, back to the card it was paid with. A service fee you added on top is kept. Other fees can be waived, not refunded.
Market day
How does check-in work?
Open the day’s roster on your phone and tap each vendor in as they arrive. You see who is here, who is still coming, and who has told you they can’t make it.
Can a volunteer help on the day?
Yes. Give someone with a Blue Peach account access to one market day only: check-in alone, or taking payments too. Nothing is sent to them, and their access ends with the day.
What if a vendor can’t come?
Vendors can tell you ahead of time from their schedule, and their place opens up. Fill it from your standby list, ranked by category, attendance, money owed and paperwork. You make the call: copy a ready-written message to send, and nothing goes to a standby vendor automatically.
What if the signal drops?
If your phone has opened the day’s roster, it stays readable without a signal. Checking a vendor in, and any other change, needs a connection.
What happens if we cancel a market day?
Every vendor booked on it is emailed your reason. No new fee can be added for a cancelled day, and Blue Peach offers to waive that day’s unpaid absence fees.
Fees and payments
What does Blue Peach cost?
There is no monthly fee. Blue Peach keeps a small, fixed part of each card payment your market takes, and vendors pay Blue Peach nothing. See the price, worked to the cent.
What fees can we charge?
A percentage of each vendor’s sales with a minimum per stall, named fees per market day or per season, one-off fees for one vendor, and an application fee with options like one tent or two.
How do vendors report their sales?
After the market each vendor enters one number, their total sales for the day. Blue Peach applies your rate and minimum and shows them the fee before they pay. Vendors report their own sales; Blue Peach does not check them.
How do we get paid?
Vendors can pay by card from the start. The market’s owner connects a payout account through Stripe, and card payments go to it; anything paid before then is held, and the owner sends it to the account once it is connected. When a vendor pays in cash or by check, you or your staff mark it paid.
Is anything charged automatically?
No. A card is charged when a vendor presses pay, or when an admin at your market collects a fee on a sales report the vendor has already sent. Fees, refunds and waivers are always a person’s decision.
What if a sales report is late?
If a vendor’s report is still unpaid three days after the market, they are emailed that it is overdue. Your Money page shows who owes you and how much.
Your vendors
How do we talk to vendors?
Each vendor has one conversation with your market, shared by your team. Message many vendors at once from the Vendors table or the day’s roster; each reply comes back to its own conversation. An email lets each side know a message is waiting.
Does Blue Peach send text messages?
No. Messages are read in Blue Peach, and notices go by email.
How do we keep track of insurance and permits?
Vendors upload them with their expiry dates, and your vendor list flags anything expired or expiring within 30 days. Nothing is sent automatically: copy a ready-written reminder and send it yourself.
Does Blue Peach handle SNAP, EBT or market tokens?
No. Blue Peach handles vendor fees and payments to your market, not shoppers’ payments at the stall.
Your team and your data
Who on our team can do what?
Owners, admins and staff. Staff handle market day, payments and messages. Refunds, bookings, waivers, settings, exports and messages to many vendors at once stay with admins, and only the owner manages the team and connects payouts.
Can we get our data out?
Yes, whenever you want it. An admin can download vendors, applications, market days, day bookings and sales reports as spreadsheet files.
Something we didn’t answer?
Ask us. A person reads every message. Selling at a market that uses Blue Peach? Here is how it works for vendors.
