Who we are

Blue Peach is software that helps farmers market organisers run their markets and helps vendors apply to them, report their sales, and pay what they owe. Blue Peach is operated by Blue Peach. If you have a question about this policy, write to hello@bluepeach.co.

The short version

We collect what we need to run a market and nothing else. We do not sell your information, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not run any analytics, tracking pixels or advertising technology on this site. We are not an advertising business; we are a tool your market organiser pays for.

What we collect

Everyone with an account

Your name, your email address, and a profile picture if you upload one. Your password is handled by our authentication provider and is never visible to us.

Vendors

Your business name, what you sell, a description, your logo if you upload one, and your contact name, email, phone, website and address. Any documents you upload — for example proof of insurance or a licence — and their expiry dates. The sales figures you report, and a record of what you have been charged, what you have paid, and what is outstanding.

Applicants

Your answers to the application form for the market you are applying to. Market organisers write their own application forms, so what is asked is up to them — we store the answers as given. We also store any message you send with your application, and the organiser’s notes about it.

Market organisers

Your market’s name, description, address, contact details, images, and the policies and terms you publish to your own vendors.

Automatically

When you take an action that changes a record, we log who did it, what changed, and your IP address and browser user-agent, so that a disputed change can be traced. We keep a record of emails we have sent you and whether they were delivered.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your card number, bank details, or any payment credential. Those go directly to Stripe, our payment processor. They never touch our servers and we could not show them to you if you asked. We store only Stripe’s own reference to your saved card.

How we use it

To run your account, process applications, take and record payments, send you messages about things that have actually happened (an application decision, a payment, an invitation), and to keep the records a market needs to operate. Every email the product sends is transactional — we do not send marketing email, so there is nothing to unsubscribe from.

Who can see it

  • Your market organiser can see your vendor record, your application and its answers, your reported sales, and your payment history for their market. That is the point of the product; they are running a market you applied to.
  • Organisers of other markets cannot. A vendor’s records are separated by market.
  • Our service providers, listed below, each see only what they need to do their job.
  • We will disclose information if the law requires it.
  • We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising.

Our service providers

Supabase (accounts, database and file storage), Stripe (payments and payouts), Vercel (hosting), and our email providers — Postmark for sign-in and password emails, and our own mail service for product notifications. Data is stored in the United States.

Cookies

We set one cookie, and it is the one that keeps you signed in. We do not use tracking, advertising or analytics cookies, so there is no cookie banner to dismiss.

How long we keep it

Financial records — payments, refunds, charges — are kept for as long as needed for tax and accounting, because both you and your market organiser may need them. Applications and vendor records are kept while the market relationship lasts. We keep financial records for seven years after the account closes, which is the period tax and accounting rules require; everything else is deleted within 90 days of closure.

Your choices

You can see and change your name, email, password and vendor details from your account settings at any time, and sign out of other devices. To ask for a copy of your information or for it to be deleted, write to hello@bluepeach.co.

We may have to keep financial records even after an account is closed, and a market organiser keeps their own record of vendors who traded at their market.

Children

Blue Peach is for running a business at a market and is not intended for anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If the change is significant we will tell you by email.
